Hi drs. My son is suffering from head itching,and hez taking concerta 36mg..what is the reason for this??

The medical literarure has no reports of Concerta (methylphenidate) causing any form of scalp itching; only very rarely, it may cause skin rash.As such, it is highly unlikely that the scalp itchiness your son has is due to this medication. Other causes, like dandruff, or a pest infection (scabies, lice), should be ruled out.
