Hello, I'm 21 years old and have a severe case of myopia (-9) in both eyes. Many doctors suggested ICL. Can it cause blindness? Is it a high-risk procedure? And is it frequently done? Many thanks.

Infections from ICL can cause blindness. However, when the risk of infection is outweighed by the induction of other needless complications such as post-LASIK ectasia - when lasering a highly myopic correction (like in your case) on an asymmetric, thin cornea for example, then ICL can be looked at as a viable option.
