I have lasik surgery next week and I found out yesterday that I'm pregnant. Can I still go through with the surgery?

For the surgery, there is no contraindication. As for the treatment, you will receive post-op, you should not take quinolone containing med, (ciprofloxacine, ofloxacine, etc), as these meds are given normally after this type of surgery.

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are not suitable candidates for LASIK surgery. Firstly, your vision may change during pregnancy. This is quite normal and after giving birth, that is the best time to have laser eye surgery because vision will return to its previous optical performance. During the laser eye surgery procedure, you would typically receive antibiotic drops and a sedative beforehand, which would be absorbed into the bloodstream. Again, this is not a good idea when you are carrying an unborn child. Check with your OB-GYN and ophthalmologist beforehand.
