All drugs have some side effects. Cholesterol lowering agents such as statins can cause liver tests abnormalities, muscular pain.
Follow up by routine tests is recommended.
If the tests are normal, there is no problem continuing the drugs because their good effect by lowering the cholesterol level is much higher and necessary.
