Is there any danger from MRI exposure on the lumbar spine done twice in less than a year? I got a headache after I did it.

MRI, or magnetic resonance imaging, is not an x-ray, so you do not get exposed to radiation when undergoing MRI. The fact that you have to lie still in a closed tight space surrounded by a very loud noise is what most probably contributed to the headache you had.
