Postpartum fever (fever after after delivery) fever is defined as a temperature of 38.7'C or greater for the first 24 hours OR greater than 38.0'C on any two of the first 10 day
So depending on your fever for how long it is like this you will be considered having a fever related to delivering your baby -postpartum delivery
Fever occurring over such a wide range of time during the postpartum course can obviously have a variety of causes. However, the most common cause of postpartum fever is ENDOMETRITIS, which is inflammation in the lining of the uterus, this infection usually appears two to three days after delivery, so it is the one most often encountered in the postpartum period accounting for over half of postpartum infections found after discharge post-delivery.IT require administration of antibiotics.
Other causes of postpartum fever include atelectasis, urinary tract infection pyelonephritis, surgical wound infection (the case of surgical delivery), septic thrombophlebitis and mastitis
SO depending on what you have mentioned and in anyhow you must check with your doctor whenever a women has postpartum fever , specifically in the treatment of endometritis, especially after surgical delivery, parental clindamycin and gentamycin are recommended along with appropriate fluid resuscitation and supportive care
however why you can't breastfeed is it because of mastitis (inflammation in the breast) or in nipple causing you painful breastfeeding if yes then mastitis is the cause of your fever and you must take antibiotics and apply compresses and antibiotic cream on the infection

An infectious process could be taking place and symptoms may follow, be it urinary symptoms, or diarrhea/vomiting, or skin rash, especially if she got exposed to someone sick in the past few days. If delivery was by cesarean section, the wound needs to be examined. Again mastitis must be ruled out. Also note that the fact that she was in the hospital puts her at risk of getting an infection from the hospital itself (we call it nosocomial infection. Lastly, ddostinex could cause fever. In any case she needs to be seen by her physician to get a proper physical examination to depict the cause of the fever.
