A sexual partner just got chlamydia, I have no symptoms. My doc can't see me for 2 wks. I know ttt is 1g Zithromax; can I just take that without test?

The recommendations are that the sexual partner(s) of a person who is affected with a chlamydial infection be treated with antibiotics. A confirmatory test is preferable to avoid the unnecessary administration of the treatment. Following up with a gynecologist is also recommended, especially should any complications occur in the future, this way a proper documentation of the history and findings will be secured.
